EAL Level 3 Design, Install and Commission of Electrical Energy Storage Systems (EESS)
This qualification is aimed at practising electricians, electrical technicians, and engineers with experience of electrical installations, and associated inspection and testing. This course covers the installation of dedicated electrical energy storage systems (EESS) in accordance with the IET code of Practice for Electrical Energy Storage Systems. This course will provide detailed theoretical and practical knowledge enabling you to apply the relevant regulations and guidance when involved with battery storage systems.
Content:
- Understand the Statutory Legislation applicable to EESS
- Understand the principles of batteries and EESS
- Understand how to specific and design an EESS
- Understand how to specify and design EESS
- Understand the requirements for Installation, Inspection and testing, and handover of an EESS
- Install, Commission and Handover an EESS Installation
Entry Requirements:
Applicants should be working within the electrical industry and must hold an NVQ3, current BS7671:2018 qualification and a current qualification in Inspection and Testing such as Initial and Periodic Electrical Inspection and Testing (2391).

Day 1 & 2: Classroom-based teaching around above topics
Day 3: Online Exam & Practical Assessment
