City & Guilds 2377-77 In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT testing)

  • This course covers the Level 3 Award in the In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (Previously known as PAT – Portable Appliance Testing).

This award gives an understanding of the theory and practice of the in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment; commonly referred to as PAT testing (Portable Appliance Testing). During the course, a number of practical exercises are undertaken using a range of portable appliance testing equipment.

It will give delegates theoretical and practical experience in the implementation of a formal inspection and testing regime for electrical equipment.

 

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Electrical and non-electrical personnel with the responsibility of carrying out formal visual inspections and tests of portable appliances.

 

ASSESSMENT
Completion of the course requires completion of an on-line examination and a practical assessment. The on-line examination is an open book assessment and candidates will require a copy of the IET Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (Included in the course price).
